Started working for 2 days in a Interior design film and I’m flooded with 10 Interior perspectives. They told me this is their first time hiring 3D designer or rather a 3D visualizer since I didn’t really involve in designing the furniture and etc. So, my job is model their drawings and turn them into 3D then render them as proposal for the customer to visualise how their home will look like after renovating.
My Boss, creative director is a guru in this trade. 30 years on field experience, so don’t play play with her. I was impressed when I saw her using just a normal calculator with measurements of the location she can confidently tell you whether it will look nice or not with this table or bed in that length and height. She say she don’t use computer but I think her brain is already a computer.
One thing interesting about this working environment is that there are no male except me, their sales personnel, admin and designer are all female and their computer knowledge is Pte Ltd. So I don’t blame them when they come to me and spam me with 4 perspectives and tell me to call up the customer and get their email so I can email them the perspectives once I finish and so far the deadline is less than 2 days.. Oh, and their drawings got no measurements and color. Cause most of the items are designer product, custom made so they are use to it already with or without measurement is the same but I’m only 2days old, how the hell I know what item is what color and with what material. So I spend most of my time adjusting the color and trying to get the material effect, keep changing and changing.. sigh..
WD paste me this song few many months ago when I was still in SPF, I didn’t really have any feel for this song, but now… hmm. Anyway I still <3 this job. Although the working hours is crazy, the traveling time is 1.2hours madness and that the showroom is located in industrial park, there is no place selling food, and the pay is like average but… I’m still enjoying it. clap* working is so fun! ^.^
