I don’t really know why but I will visit a bookstall or stationary shop while I’m out for shopping. I’m not like a bookworm but I like books and stationary! It doesn’t make senses, I know. Perhaps its a habit that started way back when I’m still a school kid visiting the school bookshop during recess as that is the only “shop” that sell other things than food. Not sure if its still like that now, but at least during my time, its like that, food stall or stationary shop. Sound pretty sad isn’t it? But I’m not hating it. In fact I find it exciting now to see and test the latest stationary especially those from Japan. Their invention and ideas are wicked and I LOVE IT!
Today I visited the MPH City link Mall. I like that place a lot not because of the collection or the location, I like it just that its not crowded with people or book. The books there are enough for me to browse and I won’t get “excuse me”, “sorry” every minute while browsing the books, having that really irritate me a lot. Browsing through the Hobby section, Photography, I found this book (Photos That Inspire: Photo Workshop) and I love it. I stood there for an hour or so browsing, in fact reading the entire book! This is not a wordy book that list out all the functions and theories of photography or some experts sharing their views and field experiences in words telling you what to do when you see this and that so I manage to finish the book pretty fast. If you like photography and you have a chance to read this book, you can flip any page you will see pictures that inspire you! Its packed with photos, each expressing the photographer’s thought and displaying the moment. There is also description of the setting, what inspired the idea, and what the photo was intended to accomplish, along with the technical details like camera and lens used, shutter speed, aperture, and lighting, this book is exactly what I want from a photography book!
